Hydrologic and Water Quality Modeling

Dr. Natalja Čerkasova is interested in the development of hydrologic and water quality models for identifying present and future water resources and water quality issues. Her current interest research focuses on setting up a large-scale fine-resolution hydrological and water quality models using SWAT and coupling it with the hydrodynamic model of the largest European coastal lagoon. In addition, her research experience includes environmental model development, GIS solutions, decision support tools, database development and application for environmental research, and analysis of climate and land-use change on the environment.  Currently, her research is focused on testing of SWAT+ and its applications across the US and the EU
