Title  – Effects of Conservation Practices on Soil & Water Resources in the Leon River Watershed-Phase 1

Activities –

  1. Develop and refine APEX as needed to properly evaluate the complex combination of conservation practices applied to representative soils across widely ranging climatic conditions of the U.S.
  2. Develop an appropriate interface with the SWAT model.
  3. Trouble shooting APEX failed runs.

Phase - II

Title – Effects of Conservation Practices on Soil & Water Resources in the Leon River Watershed-Phase II

Project Leader – Dennis Hoffman, Ph.D.

Activities –

  1. Maintain two automated water monitoring stations.
  2. Monitor both water quality and quantity under base flow and storm flow conditions.
  3. Data used to develop and calibrate pollutant loading components of models (e.g. EPIC, APEX, and SWAT).
