Neville P. Clark Center for Integrated Analysis for Agriculture and Natural Resources

Dr. Neville Clarke, former Director of Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, sadly passed away on February 11, 2022 at the age of 91. He was a long-time Texas A&M leader who promoted agricultural research at the national and international scales. In addition, he was key to developing projects with the Gates Foundation and USAID, including the development of the IDSS to foster small-scale irrigation in Africa. Agency for International Development to develop the Integrated Decision Support System (IDSS), which included SWAT, APEX, and FARMSIM, in Africa. One of Dr. Clarke’s last accomplishments was to endow the $1 million Neville P. Clarke Center for Integrated Analysis for Agriculture and Natural Resources at Texas A&M, and to assure that Dr. Srinivasan was named Director of the Center.

COVID has made last few years a challenge for many of us. But “with a little help from our friends” we are getting back on track informing colleagues around the world of many of the exciting improvements and applications of these shared tools.
